Feminine Noun Review (1)

We've been focusing on masculine nouns, but I don't want you to forget the feminine nouns! So for this week's review post, here's a slideshow you can use to quiz yourself on the feminine nouns. The first slide in each pair has a Latin word, with its proverb(s) as a prompt, and then on the next slide you can see the English meaning.

So, look at the slide, read the Latin out loud (ALWAYS read out loud!)... and see if you can supply the English meaning; then, advance to the next slide and see if you were correct. You might make a list of the words you were not confident about so that you can review them some more, perhaps by picking out some of those proverbs to memorize. The best way to memorize a word is by memorizing the proverb in which it appears; that way your mind really has something to hang onto.
